Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club – Anandathirtha Vidyalaya

The Installation Ceremony of the newly formed Interact Club of Anandathirtha Vidyalaya was held with great enthusiasm and grace on 26th July 2025. The event was conducted smoothly under the guidance of Rtn. Dr. Deepak Ram Bairy, President of the Rotary Club of Manipal Town, and Chief Guest Rtn. Suresh Beloor, who administered the oath to the newly appointed office bearers of the Interact Club.
The occasion was graced by several esteemed Rotarians and members of the school management, including Mr. Nagraj Ballal – The Working President of Anandathirtha Vidyalaya Trust, and Mrs. Roopa Ballal – Trustee, Anandathirtha Vidyalaya, along with the Principal, Dr. Geetha Shashidhar. Rtn. Dr. Kumar Bhat – Chairman, Interact Club (RCMT), Rtn. Dr. Shiva Murthy, and Rtn. Mohan Nayak were also present, adding significance to the event with their encouraging presence. Students of Grades 8 and 9, along with their class teachers, were also present and participated with great interest, adding youthful energy and enthusiasm to the event. Their presence added warmth and encouragement to the programme.
Rtn. Dr. D Sreedhar and Rtn. Jagadish Kamath enlightened the gathering with insights into the objectives, functioning, and motto of the Interact Club.
The ceremony commenced with a soulful prayer sung by students trained by teacher Mr. Shodhan Suvarna, followed by the dignitaries lighting the ceremonial lamp. Mr. Nagraj Ballal, Working President of Anandathirtha Vidyalaya Trust, addressed the audience with a few inspiring words on behalf of the school.
A highlight of the programme was an engaging and thoughtful session titled “The Art of Accomplishment – Setting and Reaching Your Goals”, conducted by Rtn. Nithyananda Padre and Dr. Gurumurthy. Despite extending beyond the scheduled time, the interactive and activity-based nature of the session captivated the students, who participated with great enthusiasm, even forgetting their lunch break!
Master Sumukha, a Grade IX student and the newly elected President of the Interact Club, impressed everyone with his confident and heartfelt acceptance speech.
The dignitaries were warmly welcomed with beautiful handcrafted chartaceous flowers made by Mrs. Chitra Acharya from the Art Department. The programme was seamlessly anchored by Mrs. Sunalini, while Mrs. Mamta extended a formal welcome to the guests. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Miss Varnica Shashidhar, Grade IX student and newly appointed Secretary of the Interact Club, who expressed gratitude to all the Rotarians, teachers, students, and management members present.
The event left a lasting impact, instilling in students the spirit of service and reinforcing the Rotary motto: “Unite for Good.”
