School Cabinet Investiture Ceremony
The Investiture Ceremony for the newly appointed school cabinet was held on 1st July 2025 at Anandathirtha Vidyalaya. The event began with a ceremonial march as the Head Girl, Ms. Rashi, and Head Boy, Mast. Purushottam, led the procession, followed by the other 14 cabinet ministers. Students from Grades 6 to 10 gathered to witness this proud and graceful moment.
Each cabinet member confidently marched onto the stage and received their sash and badge from the Principal. Following this, the House Leaders, representing the four Houses, entered with their respective flags and joined the stage. The Oath-Taking Ceremony was then conducted, during which the Head Girl, Head Boy, and all cabinet ministers pledged to carry out their duties with dedication, honesty, and a deep sense of responsibility.
In a special segment of the ceremony, 49 Bus Monitors were formally appointed and presented with badges. Mr. Manjunath (Transport Department Head), Mrs. Sunalini (Head of the Social Science Department), and Mrs. Vijetha (Academic Coordinator) officiated the distribution. These students have now taken on the responsibility of maintaining discipline and ensuring the safety of their fellow students during transport.
During her address, Principal Dr. Geetha Shashidhar delivered a thought-provoking message to the cabinet and house leaders. She reminded the students of nine essential virtues derived from the Mahabharata, urging them to reflect on the lives and choices of key characters — with admirable qualities and human flaws like Kauravas, Karna, Bhishma, Duryodhana, Dhritarashtra, Shakuni, Ashwatthama, Arjuna, and Yudhishthira, and stressed, “No matter how powerful or knowledgeable one may be, without righteousness, all the knowledge, weapons, and boons become futile — as seen in the life of Karna.”
As part of her concluding note, the Principal thanked the Physical Education Department teachers for their support in organising the event and extended her best wishes to all the newly appointed leaders, encouraging them to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity and pride.
