Guru Purnima Celebration

The Spirit of Guru Purnima Celebrating the Sacred Bond of Guidance, Gratitude, and Growth On Thursday, 10th July, Guru Purnima was celebrated with great reverence at Anandathirtha Vidyalaya. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Principal Dr. Geetha Shashidhar. Shri Keshava Moorthy from the Dharmika Shikshana Department addressed the students during the morning assembly, highlighting the profound significance of Guru Purnima. He began with Guru gratitude sthotras, which were chanted in unison by all present. He explained the meaning of the word Guru: ‘Gu’ means darkness, and ‘Ru’ means remover — thus, a Guru is one who dispels the darkness of ignorance from the lives of their disciples.
